Wood Finishing Information

Rod uses many different materials and techniques when it comes to Wood Finishing. Quality Wood Finishing requires some of these techniques:

Fill all holes with wood filler
Multiple sandings, ending with a 220 grit or finer
Alway sand with the grain of the wood
After final sanding, wipe clean with a tack cloth
Staining is optional
For natural wood look, use a quality wood oil
End with multiple coats of a wood sealer
